"Crusher" Camaro is a '67 Camaro project started by HOT ROD Magazine in February 1994 after saving the car from a junkyard crusher program enacted by a bogus California "Clunker" bill. It encouraged people to bring their "clunkers" in to be crushed for $700. This gave the "big oil company" credit for saving that much pollution therefore allowing them to continue polluting.

Nov 10, 2016 · Well that seems to be what's happened with this Camaro, on two separate occasions. A previous owner started restoring it, prepped it for new paint and installed an LT1 350 V8 from a Corvette with an M22 Rock Crusher transmission. They don't have the time to finish it and can't take it with, so they sold it on the current seller.
